Meteorologist Classic version 1.7 has been officially released. [Meteorologist Classic now resides in its own SourceForge project area.] Please go to the new location for more details. Thanks to all the supporters and bug reporters!
The version I had (unknown) quit working, so I decided to look for an update. I’m running OSX 10.7.5, so version 2.0 is not an option. I installed the latest release of 1.7 and I keep getting a message asking if I want to upgrade to 2.0. The only two options are “Visit Web Site” and “Cancel”. I click on Cancel and the app just quits. I’ve deleted the plists. Anything else I need to do?
That is correct only for 2.0. However, 1.7 is working Great…!!!

I am using 1.7.0 (20). It seems that the temperature is about 13 Degrees less than the temperature showing on my iPhone.
Yes, I have noticed this temp discrepancy in (b18) and (b20) also…
using OpenWeatherMap… also around 10*-15* F too low…
Wunderground never allows me to connect, always “exceeded daily usage limit”, but we were warned about this in the forum..
So I noticed I can now choose Yahoo Weather for my cities,
and that seems to have addressed the accuracy for the better.
Thank you so much!!
i am using version 1.7.0 b17 and set main city as las vegas
Actual temp is approx 52°F
Meteorologist reports the temp as 27°F
I’ve been testing the latest version on a French Mavericks. Just one notable bug: the Extended Forecast submenu doesn’t show anything. Works fine otherwise. Thanks for all the work!
I am using version 1.7.0 (pre-rename). When I attempt to start it I too receive “Version 2.0.4 of Meteorologist is available (your version 1.7.0). Would you like to visit the web site. I click Cancel. Meteorologist quits and my browser is opened to the 2.0.4 site. I am using 10.6.8, therefore Version 2.0.4 isn’t an option. On the download page for 2.0.4 the link for 1.7.0 takes you to http://www.zzz0.org/?page_id=323, which has a link to http://heat-meteo.sourceforge.net/ which has the link to http://www.zzz0.org/?page_id=323 – so its an endless loop without the option to actually download Meteorologist Classic. Looks like the links need to catch up to your software updates. Thanks for Meteorologist! I love it enough to dig around for the download link.

The URL to download “Classic” Meteo (1.7x) is:
With the most recent versions of Meteo (1.7x) I find I have to constantly restart the application. In the past I started it and it continued to run until I logged out or restarted. Usually now when I look at the menu bar to check the weather the application isn’t there. My laptop is set to never sleep. I have not logged out, nor have I restarted. It seems to just stop running. I also have Meteo set to open automatically when I login. It does not open. I am currently using version 1.7.6.
