As MJ is dedicated to my father, I pushed in a little more improvement to the computer strategies along with a few minor fixes to make this build. Enjoy!
Besides a bunch of minor fixes and tweaks, the computer player now has some skill levels – not much but a start. At least it is not blatantly stupid (ie, claiming seuhng when it already has a complete set).
I discovered a bug in handling the gong, and this after spending considerable time thinking I was on the right track. (sigh) The upshot, I guess, is the code could be simplified.
Adding the last doubles scoring rule was a little easier than expected and hopefully due to the solid code foundation. I spent more time restructuring some game elements to fit on the smallest, native display along with better resizing behavior. Before I add the limit scoring hands, which occur probably less than 1% of the time, I want to improve the computer’s skill level as the next milestone.
